Booking Policies

 Booking travel always carries some degree of uncertainty. Travel insurance provides a safety net so you can step out with confidence.  Lunachicks Dive Club highly recommends both travel and accident insurance.  Before you buy, take a little time to get familiar with different types of travel insurance products, how it’s priced, and what it covers and excludes.   TravelInsurance.com is a comparison site that provides quotes from several different providers. 

• Dive Accident Insurance -  the costs of dive injuries that are often left uncovered by typical health insurance. 
• Trip cancellation,  interruption and delay -  Reimbursement of nonrefundable reservations if you get sick and have to cancel or end a trip early; reimbursement if you incur extra costs (e.g., lodging) due to a delay by the airline or other carrier. 
• Travel Medical Plan -  Payment of medical expenses if you get sick or injured on a trip and need emergency care that’s not covered by your regular health insurance plan. Emergency evacuation and repatriation -  To be taken to the nearest hospital or flown home if necessary when you're injured or you get sick on a trip. 
• 24-hour assistance services - travel agency assistance, legal assistance, etc.
• Car rental collision insurance -  Payment for rental car damage. 
• Baggage and personal belongings - Payment for lost, stolen or damaged baggage. 

 We understand that life happens, however Lunachicks Dive Club is not able to refund 

the deposit and installment payments you put towards a trip.  The funds have already been committed to the resort or liveaboard.  

No refunds will be issued.

In select cases, if your spot can be filled, your deposits and installment payments may be applied as a credit to another Lunachicks Dive Club trip.  Credits must be used within 24 months of your cancellation notice or they will be forfeited.   Again, please note that credits may not always be possible, depending on the resort or liveaboard policies or other third-party agreements entered to secure your spot. 

Finding a replacement for you may take a lot of time, effort, and planning, therefore the following cancellation  fees will apply.  These cancellation fees will be subtracted from any available credit towards a future trip:

• 120-180 days before trip - $200
• 60-119 days before trip - $400
• 15-59 days before trip - $600
• 0-14 days before trip - no cancellation credit will be given, all payments are forfeited.

 We hope you agree and understand that these terms are fair and allow Lunachicks Dive Club to keep offering amazing dive travel experiences to everyone.

 As part of our commitment to safety and responsible diving practices, Lunachicks Dive Club requires all certified divers to complete a General Liability Release prior to participating in any of our events or activities. 

This release is necessary to:

• Ensure Understanding of Risks: Diving is an adventurous and exciting activity, but it also carries inherent risks. The liability release helps ensure that all participants are aware of these risks and acknowledge their own responsibility for safe diving practices.

• Protect Lunachicks Dive Club: The release form provides legal protection for our dive club and its organizers against claims and liabilities. This enables us to continue offering safe and enjoyable diving experiences without the risk of legal issues that could jeopardize the future of our club.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in completing the release form. Your safety is our top priority, and this process helps us maintain a secure and enjoyable environment for all our members. Happy diving!
